On 15th June, the University of Greenwich is holding an exhibition for all final year CPDA students to showcase their work and projects. The event is held at the Stockwell Street building – opposite Cafe Rouge – and runs from 15th-25th June.
The project I am working on with my friend, Holly Ambrose, is a board game for children, ages 7-12 years, focusing on mental health. Our purpose for the game is to introduce wellbeing at an early age and to develop an understanding of feelings; we think this is important because many are still clueless to mental health and it is this ignorance and not understanding that generates the stigma that is attached to mental health. We have created a jungle-themed game and this will be showcased at the exhibition, along with fun activities for children and adults to join in on and a chance to play the game.
So, please come along and see what our project is all about and check out the other students’ work. The open evening commences at 6.30pm and runs through until 9pm. There will be food and drink available and it will be a great event!
